Looks like you got way behind on upping your rates and took a 50% increase in one year. Thats the problem he has and I guess initially I would too. Splitting that increase over a couple years probably would have been seen as less aggressive. However, 60-100 per hour today for a tooled and skilled competent craftsman I don’t think is out of line anywhere. If you are that he will get over it. If you are not you maybe getting squeezed out soon.
