The other guys aren't competion. Because Yesterday I wasn't able to do work and I spent over an hour texting and talking to landlord and other guy how to find a water leak and locate shut offs.
To explain further I told and discussed that changes were coming in billing and hours. for six months.
I average 20 to 30 texts and 5 phone calls a day.
I've done many remodels for them also at hourly rate.
The point for changing is about 100 days a year doing 2,3 or 4 hrs of work and that's it for the day. So this makes them aware it's more cost effective to have more done while in town already.

The best was checking mouse traps and then taking the mouse 3 miles away to be released in the wild.
