North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | The ShackUp Inn in Clarksdale, MS has old grain bins and sharecropper shacks set up as a Hotel rooms by Hwy 49W as a tourist attraction.
They plant a few acres of cotton between the shacks and hwy for ambience that is perfect. Once the cotton bolls open they seem to hold the fiber for a long time. Most of the summer and early fall the field is a great representative of ‘Delta Snow’ time when cotton is ready to harvest.
