An 8.3 reman a few years ago was 8k. Today it's 18K. It doesn't have any more emissions on it today than it did 7 years ago. 

A reman 9 L Iveco is 60K. 

That doesn't include any of the emissions components. 

A reman engine for a John Deere S680 is 100K. I don't think that includes emissions components either. 

And maybe I am underestimating upkeep and maintenance, but you aren't even trying.
