midwest | If you even begin to think the life span of a truck engine is 1M miles and a tractor can run trouble free with all that crap on them, let alone be replaced at least once of not more you are way underestimating the upkeep and maintenance. I can tell you do not turn wrenches or are in the loop with people who deal with these issues daily.
I won't even go combine longevity and replacement engine expense with you. Its not like an old 2 valve 8.3 Cummins for sure.
