Around 1990 corn for grain was just getting started here in our part of ND.   Every once in a while someone had tried it over the years prior but no one stuck to it.   One guy did corn for a few years in the early 90's and quit.   He quit about the time I started and when I asked him why he stopped with corn he says "To make money on corn year in and year out you need 60 bushel corn and you'll never do that in this county".  Lots of 200 bushel corn grown in this area this year.   Just shows how things change.
