| I would be surprised if they basically all (the discount brokerage firms) dont offer margin services. I know Etrade for example has margin. Normally they will show you what your "purchasing power" is when you go to buy a security if you have a margin account. Some names require more equity than others. Also, normally need margin account to short a stock. Unless you are using puts.
Margin is a good way to get in trouble. A damn good way to get in trouble haha. Smartest guy in the room when it works tho. | |
