Rushed development ? Vehicle development takes years, clean slate products if I remember right start 4-5 years before you see them on the lot.
I’d say they did pretty good on the lightning f150 in that regard. The GM version or Tesla versions don’t seem to be any better.
This was purely government driven from the beginning. The only reason world demand is as high as it is, is because china only pushes ev development and euroland has such a high fuel tax it makes sense to go electric. Neither of these are organic consumer market driven.
Not to mention, in Europe, the average commuter could cover the distance on a bicycle. We work with international students from time to time, and they are ALWAYS in awe of how 'far' everything is. |
