Only have to farm it like 3 years then you can enroll it 10 years at a time. There are several farms around here that were coal mined in the 80’s and hadn’t been farmed in years and when crp came out they just magically got out In and have stayed in.
What's funny about CRP is no landowner would ever be ok with a farm tenant with late rent payments, long 10 year contracts, threatening to withhold rent payment, penalty fees and making the landowner pay back all the rent for the life of the contract if the lease is infringed in any way.
