East of Broken Bow | Around 'here' a piece of land is almost as likely to sell to someone well off and retired, to put a little hunting shack on, and visit a few times a year. Of course, we aren't fence to fence row crops, and those people would just as soon buy something with trees, grass, and/or a creek through it. What it does is drive up the price of the not so desirable farmland, making people bid more because the 'good' land just HAS to be worth more than the not so good land, even though the guy buying the odds and ends doesn't care on return on investment, they just want some ground for a hunting cabin. | |
