Farmington, Mo | I only know what I have observed over the years of driving through the delta and asking questions of guys who practice it.
But I still have some questions…so for those of you who are familiar with it, I’d appreciate your help!
1:how many gallons per minute can an engine driven pump move from a creek or small river to the field that is flat? Say the creek is 10’ below grade
2: How do you time the irrigation? So many hours per field depending on size?
3: does the top end get over watered to ensure enough water gets to the bottoms?
4: How many hours per acre does it take to irrigate a crop?
5: How much diesel or electric does it take to put on an acre inch?
6: Can a y-drop application of UAN be watered in without the product moving from top to bottom?
I’m sure there are more but that’s all I can think of right now. | |
