I feel you pain, we also need some saddle horses as well. Last ones I bought cost the same as purebred bulls. I've got to buy purebred bulls per regulations of where I run cattle. Lots of good breeders out there, they also need their justice as well in high price times.

If doing it right and testing and record keeping its a lot of work to bring a quality bull to market. I respect the hard work. The industry has changed, I always self-insured myself on bulls. That last two years, had to change and insurance now plays a factor in breeding stock for commercial guys.

Ranching 101 has forever changed, only the price of tuition has went up. Its making the bachelor's and doctorate degrees look cheap compared to ranching.
