North of London
I see what you mean
Couple reasons
Lake effect snow is usually quite light nd fluffy so it settles
Windbreak influences that area
And I noticed that when I cleared the drive the blower laid the snow right along the fence so packing it down some to.

I have no problem dealing with my snow as lots of room but when I wrote that I was thinking of those with small yards and driveways to clear.
Like my daughter and son in law who have a rental unit that most of yard is parking for tenants so their area for depositing snow is piled high now

I have had to tidy up drive and yard every day this week after our sunshine on Monday and I cleared it on Sunday before the sun came out.

Streamers shift around some but we just keep getting more every day and yard needs a cleaning.

What was coming down here this morning moved some and gave the city of London some and then kept shining to the west and caused closing of 4 lane highway between London and Sarnia this aft. Donn't know details but did see a post showing poor visibility on 402 this aft so may have been too much snow but likely an accident from poor visibility
