mercer county, il | Some of that might be that younger guys have been taken advantage of too. I know i started from nothing when I got out of the army, and there was plenty of older guys who wanted to “help” by you helping them, but then when it came time to rent farmground, pasture, buy cattle etc. they wanted a premium.
Not saying there’s not good guys out there, but there’s also enough selfish ones that have taken advantage of younger guys as well.
If you’re seriously interested in bringing a younger guy in, I’d say it needs to start with a contract of some sort, where his time is either paid, or paid in equity. | |
