That is for removal only.

Strap wrench for any install, also works great for removal.


I promise if you turn them around they work to tighten also lol. Grab between the end of the filter and the numbers as close to the end of the filter as possible. Filters are very strong at this point to support the threaded insert.

Have done 100's of them. Oil the oring gasket and snug a little more than hand tight.
