| I sold some bred solid mouth cows a few years ago at sale barn. Auctioneer flat out warned buyers. He announced my name and said boys they are soild cows, but they are outside cows. Meaning we don't pen them up to calve or mother them. Cows are very protective of calves.
I had a local couple beg me to sell them some breds. I didn't want to tried to discourage them. They pushed me, I gave warning several times. Just turn them out and let them do their thing. Well first thing the wife penned one up after calving. She had cleaned calf up and calf was on his feet before she penned them in small barn pen.
Cow tore gate off pen they said. Went to neighbors herd over a barb wire fence. I dont know shape of their facilities, but wife was mad and sold cow for hamburger, raised calf on bottle. Came back at me mad over it. I reminded them I warned them not to pen them like that.
