I remember seeing a picture once with the caption something about the Marcus station had the greatest number of livestock, of any station between Sioux City and Chicago, being loaded onto the train. Seem to remember the local commission firm named Bass. Wild as heck-I always got a kick out of the phrase "Those calves have never seen a man except on horseback". |
