 sc ia | Using the old rule a ton of silage is worth 10x the price of a bushel of corn makes silage worth $40 a ton. Hay usually costs more than that and I'm guessing there's more nutrient value in a ton of silage than there is in a ton of hay even with 65% moisture in the silage. Not as easy as just putting a bale of hay in a ring though. | |
