Well some have paid for chopper/truck/pit. Bag a little too. Was told it was built in the late 80s as a prototype. IDK would have to ask Kelly-Ryan, lol. Chopper....have sunk a couple chains and some batteries in thee ole 5830 the last 5 years, that's been about it.

If not, I get it. But you can't put much "opportunity cost" in equipment that won't bring 30k all together at a auction.

If no equipment, 3 row SP choppers can be had very economically, putting in a 400 ton pile would be a three day job. If you are on bale rings currently yes, it would be a jump to have a used TMR or bigger bale feeder wagon.

Chop before harvest so time is no issue.

40-50 cows or more it would seem to make sense.
