north-central Indiana west of Fulton
Our last box spreader was a 1410 Gehl which is the same as a 195 NH. It had the pintle chain, but was a single web.....must simpler than the double web. Had to be careful if unloading frozen chunks at clean out in the winter, but got along ok. Spreader before that was a Caseih 1580 that had the T rod chain.......much preferred that for ease of shortening the web. The pintle chain web was a real pain to take links out.......only one connecting link. You have to find that link, then you have to cut out a link or more before reconnecting. The T rod was way easier. If you can convert to T rod i would. I would probably get new chain and not patch, depending on age.
