Watertown, WI | I am considering buying a 2014 Kinze 4900 with advanced ISOBUS. However, I want to add downforce monitoring, Yetter air adjust row cleaners, and possibly an in-furrow pump control. The planter is currently controlled by a Viper 4.
For downforce, I was thinking that the easiest thing to do would be add on an Ag Leader ISO hydraulic downforce module or two to monitor some weigh pins.
For the air adjust row cleaners, I was considering use the Yetter ISO control.
For the in-furrow pump control, I was looking at the Ag Leader ISO liquid control module.
I have little experience with ISOBUS. Is there a CANBUS/ISOBUS plug on the planter that I can just plug all those devices into? Or is new cabling needed to the tractor? Or does each module need to be on its own ISOBUS channel?
Will the Viper be able to handle multiple virtual terminals for each device? Would the task controller have any problem logging from multiple devices at the same time?
