You just described a majority of what I farm!!

My good ground that isn't surrounded by trees on all sides or is capable of raising real yields I treat way better.

Spread 100# DAP 100# Potash in front of corn.

I apply all my N with a burndown pass, full rate of Storen pre with 28-0-0-4S (20 Gal) mixed with 28-0-0 (30 Gal).

I think in the future I will be applying drone fungicide because it pays back I think.

Usually plant 2 years of beans or more no fertilizer after that.

Rent it cheap and farm it cheap. Try to keep the weeds down and the PH close and it will be fine. Truth be told - it doesn't take much fertility to raise 120bu corn and 40bu beans.
