 | Now that I have had some time to think about the Tru Terra carbon/cover crop contract failed program, I am fired up. Members of our COOP signed on to this program in August 24, Did the work, then found out in August 25 the program was DEAD. Tru Terra was then dissolved, reassigning some people, canning others. The official line is USDA funds were cut by Trump when he entered office. But other entities who had similar programs are paying their contracts. If you go to Tru Tera website there is no mention of everybody not getting paid. I made some calls and found there is exactly 1 TruTerra employee left. I spoke with that person, very nice but got the corporate line. Dumb farmer they figured. This cost the enrolled members at our COOP $400,000.00. $ 80 PER ACRE, signed contract, dropped in dust bin. Dumb farmers will forget. So I think I will buy $40,000 in LOL product and not pay them. It will be Trump or Bidens fault, maybe AOC did it, Or Bernie Sanders. But wait if I didn't pay LOL I could have someone give a corporate style AI generated answer that makes LOL feel good but Still no money to be paid. So all the farmers who had their LOL carbon payment on their cash flow at the bank can just go explain that to their lender how it is someone else's fault, LOL Corporate style. And you guys who say your getting a Trump payment soon, just shut it. Not the same, irrelevant argument. It disgusts me that the farmer signs a contract with a trusted partner who apparently had no contingency plan for anyone but themselves and the farmer eats an excrement sandwich again. U guys who didn't deliver corn on your Cargill bin contracts 10 years ago didnt get to say " oh sorry can't deliver", When did your last grain contract that was tooo cheap get forgiven?, or any crop note, loan you couldnt pay for whatever reason get dropped and they said "dont worry about it" we b good!! Maybe we need a BIG vulture law firm to take the case it on contingency, HUPY AND Abrham with Captain James T. Kirk. Starlink corn style thing, that was fun., waited years for that pittance of money. Farm country tries to avoid scams from unsavory clown shows and snake oil wagons who emerge chasing the resources we work to procure and maintain then we get beat over the head from one of our own. I am actively making noise on this one. It cost me 15000 in cover crop planted and $40,000 in a payment I didnt get. that's $55,000 for the slow folks. Big picture in my farming career, not that much, but its still real money, would pay 3 years of health insurance premiums. Maybe LOL will put me on their plan. Please retort if you feel the urge......
