Subject: Tanks empty

Manola,Ab, Ca
We are digging in sewer line at the new Hutterite colony in our neighborhood and today we started digging across a field that was in canola this season. I was down in the trenches running the laser and noticed how deep the canola roots have penetrated (3 plus feet ). I will try and post a picture.
My weather station about three miles away shows around ten inches of precipitation for the year. The crops in the area from all reports yielded average to above average. I’m amazed at how well the crops were with so little rain.
In my opinion we are in serious need of some recharge. I think the tank is pretty much empty and we need some timely rain next summer. I guess that one benefit is that the cracks are relieving any compaction.
