 What I don't get is why aren't the eastern part of the Dakotas and western Minnesota dark blue just like southern Minnesota/Iowa? I would think there's a similar amount of row crop farming/ pesticide use going on there too, especially with beets in the RRV. Or even the central sands region of our state, with the dozen applications that go on potato crops
 
 Whatever this shows, could be radon gas areas, who knows. kind of the areas that have basements…
 
 If farm pesticides are a cause of it, is it a reflection of the 1940s through 60s attitudes towards safety, rates, and knowlege, showing up 50-70 years later? Would there be any relation at all to current modern herbicides and how they are used today, and tractors with cabs, much more careful rates, and so on?
