Is VRT applications baed on soil test results of P or K (not mixed) not the most efficient use of fertilizer dollars, environmental considerations, and efficiency?

Or, does U of MN just calling blanket spreading as the only broadcast method?

Does banding work well with VRT via grid application, where some areas call for "0" product of either P or K, not batch-mixed, but spread separately.

Are most strip tillers soil testing on regular intervals? 4-5 yr intervals? Is getting "hot spot" soil test results a problem due to banding?

Just asking.

I like the conversation.

The more you measure and manage the more efficient you can be.

You would think that VRT would have to be the next level of efficiency.

Since 2 year broadcast spread was/ is very common in Minnesota I would assume that is what they would refer to.

I am pulling a soil test every year, but the plant testing and feeding really changed my plans. It was eye-opening how much less of something I needed but how much other things were lacking
