Also their stubbornness to stick with 130k seeds/unit is annoying. I dont care if they were the first to do that...they're now the last to standardize.
We share crop so the trips and gifts are unwanted for us.
We plant 2 test plots, 25 acres each, and local seed dealers are more than willing to give you plot seed every year for free. We get experimental seed from one dealer and we're able to find a hybrid 1-2 years early thats been our best for 3 years now.
All I know is every year is different and every hybrid can do better or worse depending on the year so we split the planter and do 8 and 8 to at least get 2 varieties in every field. Beans are harder to get multiple varieties in a field. | |
