I've only been farming for myself a few years. I've always planted pioneer. The local Beck dealer (friend from highschool) offered to GIVE me 6 bags of seed if id listen to his speal. I only farm 190 acres, so I don't buy enough to get free trips, and tractors.

6 free bags is 6 free bags. I've got a 6 row planter, so a test plot was easy.

Short version is, those 15 acres out yeilded the ground on either side of it by 15 bushels an acre.

The seed is roughly 60 bucks a bag more than what I normally plant, but @ almost 40 extra bushel per bag (2.5 acre per bag), it seems to make financial sense to me.

The point of this rambling is this, why does everyone seem to dislike becks? Is it just the gimmicks, or is there something im missing?
Everyone dislikes Becks???
They are the largest private owned seed company and everyone hates them? I never have planted a single kernel of Beck by the way. Just saying
