ncia
Harvestibility in far northern iowa.
I had an 8 acre field on the edge of a small town that I did not spray fungicide because of houses next to the field. We harvested it early because it was full of southern rust. That 8 acres went to coop and was 197 bpa. That was not terrible but if you bumped the stalks wrong they just seemed to break off at ground level. We did not see that at all in our treated acres. Not the same field but very nearby corn , same hybrid, was 220-230. I’m glad that didn’t have my whole crop with that stalkquality. Pioneer 05737 was the hybrid in treated and untreated fields separated by a drainage ditch.

There seems to be some theories about the timimg of fungicide application. Without good data the current opinion is earlier was better than later. Vt better than brown silk but that is just a theory of local agronomists. 95% of fungicide in my area was applied by a plane because north iowa was experiencing a very wet 3 weeks. No way ground rigs could run.

Not sure if this answers anything.
