Sir: If you need to call Headsight support again on this combine, you need to ask for me....Jeff K. Direct dial me at 574- two o nine - 1 five one one

I don't normally post on here, was notified of your post by another member of our team. So I will try to check back over the next couple days.

Your problem is puzzling - it is certainly not typical. I am assuming that you have separate systems on both heads - with the light bar being the only common Headsight component? I ask because we do have some customers running the Insight box on the feederhouse - so it stays with the combine.

If you have separate Insight boxes for each head - I think the problem must be in the combine or Light bar

The next time this happens, stop and have a helper unplug the lightbar at the header. The system should still work w/o the lightbar, at some basic mid-height. If the system suddenly drops back to cutting position, assume a bar Lightbar.
If the power to the Insight box is good, Light is Green, and you can navigate menus - BUT the LED's on the lightbar are dim and not working - I would expect the Lightbar or cable to it is the problem. Clean & Inspect the 9 pin plug for bent or corroded pins. Try running w/o it connected and see if the head will stay working.

You may also have a different problem - the OEM combine feeder harness has wires shorting together - most likely the "always raise" and 12V power wires, although this should not cause the Lightbar to dim.
