NENE | Everyone is fixated on being able to fill a semi and I get it. At times that’s a nice thing. My usual preference is for more trucks. We bring 4 semis to the field with 2 drivers so there’s always a place to dump. Doesn’t really matter how much you put on each time. We try to dump every round if it’s over 500 bushes or so. When we have corn right by the truck I don’t like hauling it back and compacting the ground needlessly. I do have one cart that holds a semi load but the only time it pays is in really long rows of over a half mile. You might say a big cart will give you the best of both worlds because you don’t need to fill it and that’s true if cost is not a factor | |
