WCWI | Thank you all for the honest responses. I know Deere always holds better value but I just cant put a dollar amount on that as I have always been a "red" guy, so I may be a little hesitant to go green from a pride standpoint.
KB Im glad you mentioned demo, when the salesman called yesterday he did offer to bring it down and throw it on the cart for a day so you are exactly right and I am excited to compare first hand. I did make it very clear to him I am not committing to anything until after harvest or after the first of the year, and I might not commit at all.
A few years ago I rented a 8245R but obviously less horse and no ILS so it wasnt a true comparison but my FIL HATED it, and hes a green guy. Like wears JD suspenders everyday green.
I would say the biggest thing that has me really thinking about Deere is a year ago our local dealer chain got bought out, and the closest store of that chain didnt get bought so it lost the CNH dealership. I have two deere dealers 30 minutes from me where as the red dealer is an hour. So I do believe over the years to come there could be better service, but I need to build a new relationship with one of the three dealers. | |
