Holly Hill, SC | Some times the safety switch is what causes the danger. On JD 4840 the neutral or parking brake safety switch is not the best connection between two small pins and the connector either does make good connection or the connector comes loose. Happens to be right below the small door on right side of cab. Can access the switch key through the door while wiggling the wire. Had to stop my employees from doing this. Point is the starter solenoid is good but someone has to stand in front of the tire to wiggle the wire while another person starts the tractor. | |
