SW Ohio | I planted some #2 sunflowers with my oem JD finger meters this spring and they were 97% accuracy. Much better than the last seed I had, which I don't think was sized at all.
Any seed bed that is less than perfect will lead to bouncing of the row units which leads to poor singulation. If you can drive slow and have enough downforce you can reduce this effect somewhat. I see row cleaners in your picture so you are helping yourself some there.
I don't care for your choice of closing wheels, but that is highly dependent on soil type so I will refrain judgement. Worked ground I always go for two rubber tires | |
