Well Old Tiger, I went back and reread John's post.  I don't think he said deer is the same as beef.  He said when they buy meat at a grocery store, it is mostly pork or chicken that they buy.  And they do eat a lot of deer.  But he wasn't saying it is the same as beef, or better than beef.  He just said they eat of lot of deer.   

Frankly Old Tiger, I think you owe him an apology.
