Milford, IL | Basement stays dry, which I like. When we bought the place, we had just a little bit of seepage in the corners when it would rain heavily in the spring, previous owners had allowed the gutters to fall into disrepair. New gutters directed into the existing footing tile solved the problem. If we ever have to excavate to repair footing tile (which appears to be old glazed bell tile) spray foam on the exterior sounds like an excellent plan. I can't add insulation to the interior walls in the basement, the interior is white enameled brick from the former tiffany brick company in Momence, IL, it is neat looking and would be a shame to cover it up.
One or two loads of litter arrived today, we were outdoors finishing up a new propane line install and saw a truck unload, West wind today so I cant say yet how ripe it is! | |
