As to the living wage thing, the reason illegals pick strawberries and not locals has more to do with who is at risk going hungry and who is not.
I think the problem is more to do with a system that rewards sloth more than work. If those locals were a little hungry, they would pick the berries.
Exactly. They don't need these jobs. They can get by without working at all, or work easier jobs for less and still get by. We have people that can work, but won't work, but still get them assistance. |
