I also love the way they say how much the produce and berry growers will have to charge if they have to pay an American, do corn and soybean growers get to say how much they are going to charge for their crops?

Kind of like I heard on the news not long ago that Beef is high becasue the cost to raise cattle has gone up, and cattle producers are charging more for thier cattle. Funny, I've been raising cattle all my life and have never been able to raise m prices because my expenses went up. It's amazing how pepole don't know how it works, at least some of whom are in the media claiming to have 'researched' it.

As to the living wage thing, the reason illegals pick strawberries and not locals has more to do with who is at risk going hungry and who is not.
During Covid, my daughter worked at a local fast-food joint. She didn't have a driver's license and I told the manager we could drop her off and pick her up when we could, but might be hard during rush times. Manager said no problem, if she's a good worker, they will send someone out to get her and bring her home (20 minute trip each way). They were very hard up for workers, at a job one would think that teenagers would line up for. Well, they did line up for it, they worked the minimum number of weeks, then applied for Covid aid and would get 80% or so of their salary for staying home and doing nothing, so the vast majority did just that.

I think the problem is more to do with a system that rewards sloth more than work. If those locals were a little hungry, they would pick the berries.
