Sounds about right. A few years a go I was selling old snowmobile parts so I shipped a JD cleated track to a buyer in western Ontario. Over a month later I got a call from Customs Canada. I missed the call so I got the voice message about 2 minutes long of such heavy Indian accent I could not understand anything he said, even after listening three times. I called back the number and got someone that spoke decent English saying I forgot to put a declared value on the shipment tag. I told them US $100 for value and receiver got it a few days later.

Another time I shipped a big crate full of parts to a buyer in Eastern Ontario near the NY border. I made a crate from a pallet and attaching sides about 3 ft tall and a top, completely full of sled parts. Shipped it by Fastenal freight to his nearest store on the US side and he picked it up there. Took about 5 days and cost under $300 if I remember right.
