John Burns-
That's a good tip. A few other 'tells': If there's a Must See! or a You Won't Believe Number ___ tag, or if the thumbnail image is obviously fake (there was one that showed tractors with 5 tires on a side) then I just go on by. If I see the same junk again, I'll click the Do Not Recommend Channel button. I think that's about the most powerful message we as viewers can send.

Funny how every creator begs for comments, but some are pretty thin-skinned over anything not fawningly positive. I used to be wary of commenting to creators I didn't like, thinking there was some monetization there. I did a bit of research, and it seems not- comments are encouraged only to generate engagement and hopefully an eventual subscription, so I don't mind commenting with why I didn't like that video.

Don't finish a video and then decide you didn't like it! Statistics are carefully kept on how much of the video was watched.

Another responder mentioned Members Only content. Usually that means members get to see it first, and I don't mind waiting (I'm just never going to pay to see YouTube videos- no way; no how) but I don't understand content exclusively for members. Seems to me the creator could get a little of something from my view eventually, but instead they get all of nothing? Meh- their channel, their hard work, their business...
