Subject: RE: Bintalk

I have Barntalk for my alarms and water meters also. The price of the Bintalk sensors always deterred me. I have 12 total 6 ton bins. Plus last I knew Bintalk could only view 8 bins without getting another Gateway. So there goes another 12 hundredish dollars to adding it. So I was never too enthused about it. Plus I already had my feed figured out down to the day a bin should go empty.

The company i raise for went ahead and added(on their dime) BinSentry. It's a separate app but tracks the feed in the bin. It is pretty accurate on when a bin is supposed to go empty. Alerts me when a bin is 1 day from being empty, 5% feed left in the bin, and when there's no consumption for however many hours you set it for. There's a bunch of other notifications you can add also.

I do not know the price of it since I didn't pay for it but I have found it to be handy to have. Would've I added it if I had to pay for it, no. But that's mostly because I already had years of experience planning and figuring when I need feed delivered for the size of pigs in the barn.

Also, I know I can view my bins, the office can also, and they can add(or did, I don't know) the feed mill to view the bins also.

Just my 2 cents on a system I have experience with. If you'd like some screenshots of the different views and graphs it offers, let me know and I can add some
