How do you like your new holland chopper? I am thinking of maybe upgrading and was curious about one of those models?
Probably best to avoid the FX series like I have unless you buy 2. Parts availability is terrible. When you have hay down, you need to run, not spend days calling salvage yards. New Holland quit supporting the FX series about 10 years ago and their parts inventory is zero on the stuff that is unique to the FX.
The FR series has so many improvements and still has parts support from NH. The oldest FR models are getting close to 20 years old now, but they are still using that design for the newest models, so I suspect that parts will be available until they do a re-design. |
