Vauxhall Alberta Canada | When we baled the canola it was so sharp we had to put a couple extra wraps of netwrap on just to keep them together. The straw cut through it like a knife. Had to be gentle handling them as well for the same reason, if they got rolled or bounced too much it would cut through and the bale would fall apart. The straw all went to a big feedlot that was desperately short on straw and would take anything they could find. Canola straw is also expensive to haul as 6×5 bales only weight about 1050 lbs. | |
