Buhl, ID | Russ is a couple hours drive from SLC, Palouse is about 10 hours drive north. If you wanted to explore the area I'd recommend flying to Salt Lake and rent a car. Drive up to see his place then north to Glacier Park, over to Palouse, then south on 95 to Boise to make a loop
