NWMO | So these discusions are getting quite comical... Now you want to know how the disease works??? Ok here is a simple test for you to do... Take the time to do a trial... Let's use (17.5' on 30" rows) So next season... After right polination... 1st test strip go out and cut off just the ear leaf only on one entire row of those plants for 17.5' as lots of "Universities"LOL will say it's a important leaf.... Make sure you don't do these tests side be side as we are comparing Photosynthesis on Corn plant as that is basically what any of the many leaf diseases are slowing down or killing... So skip over a couple rows... Then on 2nd Test strip go out and cut top 3 leaves off for 17.5'... and if you want to get more creative Leave just top leaf and cut 2,3,4 leaves below top leaf for 17.5'... NOW... When you actually do you own research then come back and post the results... I already know the awnser as I've done these tests... Hopefully it a year with minimal disease pressure... AS... this will better show fully healty plant vs 3 test strips.... Happy hunting for actual results... You will also learn where fungicide is needed the most by cutting different location on plant...
