West Central Illinois | If we had an extra tractor (it’s on grain cart) I’d like to try some while they have juices and sugars in the stalk. I think it would jump start microbes.
That said we usually do it after harvest. The stalks probably break up better then but not as much microbe food.
Why don’t you try it both ways and report back next spring.
