What's the answer? 4 sprays next year?
According to your location I understand that you may think fungicide is not needed in your area... And this may be true but it's a bigger Corn belt than ever... Everywhere is different... Here I will stick to my early fungicide application V5'ish range during my post herbicide pass... Then let the year dictate my next move... Hopefully our typical 2 pass approach will work just like it does every year... It's bad here and our 2 pass was barely enough to get grain fill to blacklayer before top leaves are shot... Cool temps slowed the spread but in return slowed the corn progression... If I had a crystal ball and was able to go back a redo... I would have applied 2nd pass 2 weeks earlier and added a 3rd simply for harvest loss do to stalk quality... I think our yeilds are hurt some but minimal compared to others that are harveting right now with Low TW and Low yields now in our area... Some fields looked like November Corn by August here... And those are hurting 40-80+ bpa under APH... My corn is still 3 weeks of normal weather till harvest and I'm totally fine with that... |
