SE IL | The gov backstops the program already and is essentially taking most of the risk. Ins companies are a middle man. I’ve mentioned and been discuss on here before: get rid of most other FSA programs and let them do the insurance. No subsidy but with gov being the reinsurance our cost as farmers probably wouldn’t change much. Basic enterprise units revenue insurance, only option is coverage %. No replant, or prevent plant. Private companies can offer more things if they want. Tons of waste and fraud would be eliminated. Keep it simple stupid. | |
