Britton, SD | My local area had lots of water this summer which hit some fields worse than others so averages will be off. Being in fields with all this rain I expected higher ground to look better than it does out in the field. Went for a little drive to a few areas that missed some of the heaviest rains with in a hour or so away and all I can say is some fields that looked amazing a few weeks back are starting to die from white mold it's bad! How much yield I don't know but looks like it will be a bad year, locally have some but not that bad yet. The biggest area north and ne of Aberdeen, SD which had some great looking beans a few weeks back. The crop is shrinking here at least. | |
