I agree, NE Nebraska was the garden spot of the State for crops that were not under full irrigation. Even here, where on the surface we should have had edequate moisture, the timing of it was far from ideal, making most anything not irrigated suffer. Some beans will likely still be average or better, but the corn suffered too much to be any kind of record unless it was under a pivot. Again, on paper we should have had adequate moisture, we were actually above average for the year, but when you get 6-7" over 2 days, then nothing for a month and a half, then another 5-8" over 3 days you wind up with areas that are both dried out as well as drown out. Yes, there will be some good corn, some individual fields may even be all time record high production, but move that to county average, and there are just too many holes in the crops in places for it to be a recrod. Even under the pivots, many fields will have lowered production, because instead of an acre or two that got stunted or drown out because of wet feet, you will have several acres in those fields.
